Ancestors unKnown is Evolving

To our partners, supporters, and educators in the Netherlands and Suriname:

We are excited to announce a major transition. The partnership between Ancestors unKnown and Stichting Zieraad has concluded. To better support our global community and ensure the longevity of our programs, all Ancestors unKnown curriculum, workshops, and teacher training resources are getting an upgrade and a makeover, and they’re moving to a centralized international home: The Ancestors Library.

What this means for our work in the Netherlands

As of March 2026, Ancestors unKnown is based solely in the UK and operating internationally.

For Dutch curriculum and other educational materials: All of our Dutch education materials, including primary and secondary school curricula, university-level courses, and adult programs, are being reimagined and turned into a New Edition that aligns with our global values. These new materials will be available by September 2026, exclusively through The Ancestors Library.

If you are a school, archive, museum, or another community organization focused on heritage education, community storytelling, and shedding light on untold histories, Ancestors unKnown wants to work with you! As a founder-led, mission-driven company, we are eager to continue these vital collaborations.
